Beeswax candle - Pear When burning beeswax candles, the aroma of propolis spreads in the room air, cleaning and disinfecting it. The essential oils of the flowers and pollen contained in the wax also spread in the air of the room, creating a pleasant honey aroma. Fresh wax is colorless like glass, but in contact with pollen and propolis it turns yellow - from very light yellow to yellow-brown. Minerals, plant pigments (for example, various carotenes) and essential oils give the wax its characteristic color and smell. The smell of wax is also formed from honey, pollen and propolis. Wax fades in sunlight. If the wax contains a lot of propolis, it can have a greenish tint. The production of one kilogram of wax requires four kilograms of honey. The color of the candle may differ slightly from the color of the candle in the picture.
